OCSinnect sensor is used to store the acceleration values in G on axles X,Y,Z and by consequence the shock levels when the pantograph passes under section insulators. These parameters are available through graphs which are readable on a dedicated platform which is protected with ID ans password. The sensor allows to restitute a “photo” of the quality/behavior of crossing. Therefore by comparison, you can identify the locations where the shocks are higher and also to evaluate the benefit of a new adjustement of the section insulator.
The OCSinnect sensor can be used on all the models of section insulators.
A special box called, BOCSinnect, is also available in order to put the OCSinnect sensor in the appropriated position on the contact wire. The box is clamped on the groove of the contact wire (BC profile according to EN 50149). The positionning of the box is possible at contact wire height (in the rail elevator) or from the track with insulated rod and energized catenary.
